Last week, Edovo was part of the launch of the new E-Learning center at the Julia Tutwiler Prison for Women in Alabama. The center, operated by Ingram State Technical College, will use the Edovo curriculum and tablets to bring more educational access and course offerings to inmates.
Alabama Governor Robert Bentley, along with DOC Commissioner Jeff Dunn and Banking Commissioner John Harrison, were able to test out the Edovo tablets firsthand. The center's pilot program is an exciting stepfor the state, and we agree with Commissioner Dunn that "Effective education can be a key to reducing recidivism, and that's ultimately the goal."
