Edovo's new tablet deployment in Sacramento County Main Jail was recently profiled in the Sacramento Bee. Currently in a pilot stage with plans to expand, the 40-tablet program has already made a palpable impact on the facility, correctional staff, and Edovo users.

In the two months since the program launched, management has seen users work on subjects including GED preparation, anger management classes, parenting while incarcerated, and auto mechanics. Initially skeptical, correctional officers now report engaged, interested users who are eager to advance their education.

An Edovo user who is currently incarcerated and awaiting appeal explained how the program has focused and calmed those in jail:

"At least twice a week, when those doors popped open, there was a fight. Now that I'm back I haven't seen a fight yet…People are taking their issues and instead of taking it out on each other, they have a mechanism of escape where they can bury themselves into that."
